Just a Dream

As my essence left my body to enter its new home for the coming month, I couldn’t help but feel detached. The sight of my whole naked body was more jaw dropping than I had ever imagined. A full 360 of my entire body; the thing that inhibits confidence and stirs most women’s minds. Thoughts filled my head; it wouldn’t have felt right if they hadn’t. My body, left to be fixed like a goddamn piece of equipment. Well, I guess if you think about it, they really are not much more than a machine. I guess taking in a half assed rental body doesn’t feel any more natural. So I leave to live my life knowing my outside isn’t genuine. Every step is a lie. My self is in someone else’s hands.

The month passes, it is the date of the scheduled maintenance; no call. This can’t be good. Turns out mechanics are over worked, my body was overlooked. My brain had dried out, leaving my true body: unusable, mindless, and dead. Now, destined to live out the rest of my life as an imposter, and to never know the comfort of my own body again.
